All of our bodies have different needs! I am happy to sit down and discuss what you are looking to build for your personal practise. I offer affordable sessions that can touch on a variety of aspects.
Progressive Strength Building
I offer personal sessions for women to help them achieve their movement goals. Building a program together that centres on what is important to each client.
The more awareness we have of our body, the more control we are able to access. Loading progressively helps us train with the nervous system. So it’s best to build strength at a pace and level that feels right for you. My classes will focus on active flexibility. When we close the gap between our active and passive ranges of motion, we build a more functional practice.
After all, we are looking to build a resilient body. These sessions can include:
Core stability and strength
Dynamic Mobility practises
CARS (Controlled Articular Rotations)
Yoga Specific Conditioning
Certain postures in yoga require many elements to achieve the full expression of the pose. For example a deep backbend (such a wheel) requires a practitioner to possess overhead range (shoulder flexion), hip extension, and deep wrist extension.
In many of our yoga practises we don’t always do a thorough preparation of all of the components to achieve these more complex postures.
If you want to take a deeper dive into unravelling components of certain Asanas or Asana families I can work with you to build balance and stability through your yoga practise.
